The Ocean Bench is a part of the Ocean Collection, a reimaginedoutdoor series, originally designed in 1955 by Jrgen and Nanna Ditzel.The burnt red version is made from post-consumer e-waste. E-wasteis considered the fastest-growing waste stream in the world. E-wasteconsists of mixed plastic parts from end-of-life electronic appliancessuch as fridges, displays, keyboards, etc. Recycling end-of-life electronicsconserves limited natural resources and reduces pollution of theenvironment.The Ocean Collection is designed for disassembly, meaning that the designallows each component in its purest form to recycle into new productioncircles.
