Wood has long been a favourite among furniture-makers for its versatility and natural beauty, but today’s designers are pushing boundaries with striking new applications.

Henrich highlights Portuguese brands such as Boca do Lobo and Insidherland as leaders in wood furniture innovation. Their collections feature varied wood types and finishes, combining craftsmanship with imaginative design. Standout pieces include Boca do Lobo’s Frank Chest of Drawers, Queens Highboy, and Eden Patina Coffee Table. Insidherland’s Four For Luck Console and The Special Tree Cabinet, designed by architect Joana Santos Barbosa, reflect organic inspirations from nature, legends, and traditional culture—resulting in furniture that is both original and bold.
