IROCO Design at Clerkenwell Design Week, May 2022

This summer, the team at IROCO Design Japan was back on the ground at Clerkenwell Design Week, London’s celebrated hub for interiors and design. After a two-year pause, the event returned bigger and better than ever, featuring ten packed venues filled with new ideas in Designer Furniture, materials, and lighting.

Among the standout finds was XAL’s flexible JANE lighting system. Crafted from food-grade silicone, it bends and twists like jungle vines—ideal for innovative Public Furniture and immersive Office Furniture environments.

Cindy Lilen Studio caught our attention with delicate, handcrafted lighting made from natural fibres. A beautiful blend of femininity and sustainability, this work reflects the growing demand for emotionally resonant Designer Furniture.

The Marl Pit’s multi-sensory installation using Ketley Quarry tiles by Szczepaniak Astridge was another highlight. Visitors could see, hear, smell, and feel the space—an exciting approach for dynamic Contract Furniture Japanprojects.

Fritz Hansen’s new upholstery collection, chosen by designer Jaime Hayon, blended Thai inspiration with bold colours and textures. These pieces are ideal for stylish Office Furniture, Acoustic Furniture, and high-end hospitality settings.

With many of IROCO’s partner brands featured, and more soon launching across Asia, the show reaffirmed our mission to bring exceptional Outdoor Furniture, Office Furniture, and Public Furniture to the Japanese market.

Stay tuned as IROCO Design Japan continues to deliver the best in global design—right to your space.
