Every year, the international furniture design world converges on Milan for Salone del Mobile, the most prestigious event on the global design calendar. This year’s 56th edition welcomed 343,602 attendees from 165 countries and featured over 2,000 exhibitors showcasing the highest quality, innovation, and excellence in furniture design.
At IROCO Design Japan, we were especially drawn to the Workplace 3.0 pavilion, a forward-thinking exploration of the future office environment. Here, innovative contract furniture solutions—from ergonomic office chairs to stylish internal partitions—captivated visitors. The Fireworks coloured room dividers by Muller Van Severen were standout pieces, offering flexible space management ideal for modern workspaces. The exhibition emphasized human-centric design, smart technology integration, and bespoke customization, highlighting how office furniture and acoustic furniture will evolve to meet the needs of today’s nomadic professionals and collaborative workstyles.
The Euroluce pavilion was another highlight, featuring cutting-edge lighting innovations for both residential and commercial interiors. Italian brand Slamp’s softly glowing pendant lights, Hideki Yoshimoto’s modular cube lighting, and Moritz Waldermeyer’s LED flame-inspired designs pushed boundaries in lighting technology. These designs prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability, reflecting the growing demand for environmentally conscious furniture sourcing companies and furniture suppliers.
While the next Salone del Mobile in Milan is scheduled for April 2028, the Salone del Mobile Milano Shanghai will take place from November 23-25, 2025, showcasing the best of Italian design on a global stage. At IROCO Design, we continue to bring these inspiring trends and designer furniture to Japan, offering office furniture, outdoor furniture, and more to transform your spaces with style and innovation.
